Our Vision for a Violence-Free World
The Redwood envisions a world where women and children live free from abuse and all other forms of violence and oppression.
Our Mission to Support Survivors of Gender-Based Violence
The Redwood provides programs and services to support women and children to live and thrive without abuse, homelessness and poverty. We work for social change through learning, collaboration and advocacy.

We believe every survivor has the fundamental right to direct their own life, make their own choices, and shape the future of their children.

We are actively committed to identifying and dismantling the systemic barriers and biases that limit access to safety and support, both within our own organization and across our communities.
Social Justice
We act as allies and vocal advocates for systemic reform. Our work goes beyond immediate crisis support; we work to dismantle the deeply rooted social inequalities that perpetuate violence.

Crisis and Shelter Services
Our emergency housing and support programs are inclusive and confidential.
We serve:
Women and Children who are fleeing domestic abuse, homelessness, and systemic poverty.
Trans and Gender-Diverse Individuals who are disproportionately impacted by gender-based and systemic violence.
Community Education and Prevention
We actively provide education and training resources to individuals of all genders—including cisgender men—who want to work alongside us to dismantle gender-based violence and create lasting social change.
