The Redwood Women in Technology: IT Help Desk Technician Program is a tuition-free employment training program that provides women, trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit peoples who have been affected by gender-based violence with:

✔ Academic supports and resources

✔ Employment supports and resources

✔ Trauma-informed wraparound supports

IT Help Desk Technicians provide first-line technical support to computer users experiencing difficulties with computer hardware a software.

The Women in Technology: IT Help Desk Program prepares folks for a career as an IT Help Desk Technician by completing:

• • Computer Hardware Wiring
  • Academic Upgrading
  • Help Desk Program

• • Work Placement

Eligibility for program:

• Have a level 6 or equivalent in English
• Be a resident and able to work in Ontario
• Identify as female, gender non-binary, trans, or Two-Spirit survivor of gender based violence
• Able to attend training both online and in-person in Toronto
• Enthusiastic and motivated to pursue a career in the IT industry
• Able to fully commit to training and meet course attendance requirements
• Motivated to commit to a diverse and fulfilling coursework
